Now that the broadband market is so competitive there are a number of different ways that broadband providers try to entice new customers. Some of these deals can be really useful to customers as they can involve free gifts and cash back. Some providers are even now offering deals to existing customers rather than just new ones which can see them getting up to £55 cash back for upgrading their plan or switching to a different one.
Virgin Media – up to £250 cash back
Virgin Media have a number of different cash back offers for new customers. Like many broadband providers they match their cash back offers to what package you sign up for with them. If you sign up to the ‘VIP Bundle: with up to 300Mbps Broadband, TV + Phone’, you will get the biggest amount of cash back which is £250. The next offer down is on their ‘Full House TV Bundle: with up to 100Mbps Broadband’ which gives new customers £220 cashback for signing up for this package. The minimum amount of cash back you can get is £80 with the ‘Player Bundle: with up to 100Mbps Broadband, TV + Phone’.
Virgin do not currently have any free gift offers tied to their broadband bundles but they do change their offers quite regularly, so be sure to keep checking if you are looking to get a free gift from switching broadband providers.
EE – early cancellation credit
Credit for getting out of a contract is a bold and unusual move from EE but it does alleviate one of the main concerns to new customers. Many customers are put off of signing up to a broadband provider that has a long contract which they will need to buy out of if they are unhappy. EE are offering new customers a £50 voucher off of their cancellation charges as a free gift.
BT Broadband – up to £155 cash back
BT Broadband are currently giving customers the chance to get up to £155 cash back if they sign up for a contract with them as a new customer. The highest paying cash back plan with BT Broadband is the ‘BT Broadband + Calls + BT TV + SIM only (£21 per month) High Plan’. This is BT’s most premium package and costs £21 per month. The next one down to offer cash back is the ‘BT Broadband + Calls + BT TV + SIM only (£10 per month) Medium Plans’. Signing up to this BT package will get you £145 cash back. The minimum amount of cash back you can get from signing up to a BT broadband package is £20 for signing up with one of their very basic calls only packages.
Like Virgin, Bt do not currently have a free gift offer running, but they do change this from time to time. Many broadband providers will often provide the router as as free gift with a package as it is not unusual for them to charge for these.
Sky – existing customer cash back
Interestingly as well as offering cash back offers of up to £55 for new customers; Sky are actually offering the same for existing customers. Many broadband providers concentrate on gaining new customers with promotions so it is a refreshing change that Sky want to reward people who have been loyal to their brand. As an existing customer with Sky you can get £55 cashback for upgrading to the following:
– Sky Fibre Unlimited without TV
(£23.99 p/m for 18 months)
– Get Sky Fibre without TV
(£25 p/m for 18 months)
– Sky Fibre Max without TV
(£30 p/m for 18 months)
Sky do not currently run any offers that combine free gifts with their packages, but again they do change offers quite frequently so if you are looking to switch broadband providers in the near future it is worth keeping a check of their latest offers and deals. The easiest way to do this is by using a comparison website like broadband choices. This way you will be able to see all of the special offers and the monthly tariffs all in one place.
